How do we teach?

Wishing to learn a foreign language effectively, we must obtain information about this language, its grammatical construction, vocabulary and stylistic options. On this basis we develop our abilities to use the spoken and written word and also to understand them.
Examination of the brain reveals that we only succeed in remembering scarcely a fraction of the knowledge obtained. With the passage of time this fraction is also reduced. The chance of remembering increases depending on the personal significance of the information and on the type of situation. The more significant the information, the more useful and the more agreeable the situation, in which the information is obtained then the more effective shall be the learning.

How do we achieve this?

  • Teaching a language we always provide information about the culture and mentality of the people of the given country, its history and current social and political situation.
  • Subjects and materials are adapted with regard to the professional requirements, interests and personal situation of students.
  • Teaching methods are chosen depending on personal predispositions, thought pattern and the requirements of the client.
  • We consider fun and enjoyment to be a significant methodological element of our work.
  • We endeavour to identify individual factors hindering learning and to help in their elimination.
  • All conversation between students and teachers is always in the target foreign language, whatever the circumstances. So the client may naturally use the foreign language in daily situations.
  • Our club evenings provide the opportunity for effective development of one's language abilities.
  • Our extensive specialist and literary library, including video, ensures additional possibilities for extending linguistic competence.

Where do we teach?

In accord with our ideology, learning must be a pleasure, because then it is more effective. Thus we strive even more to take exceptional care of our students:
We select groups not only according to competence level but also according to the interests and inclinations of group members.
Our rooms have a club like character and are furnished to make them attractive and yet relaxing. It is also possible to use them after lessons if a group wishes to extend their meeting.
We proceed with the assumption that feeling happy about oneself raises concentration; therefore we also provide “elevenses” at anytime of day.
