Level of the course
In order to ensure effective learning, language
knowledge is determined on the basis of tests, which
facilitate the placing students in the most
appropriate group. Levels correspond to the European
system of language competence definition:
- beginner level A1 – begin - (total lack of language knowledge),
- beginner level A2 – begin better - (not much ability requiring structures),
- pre-intermediate level B1 - better - (relatively free communication, with some lexical and grammatical knowledge),
- intermediate level B2 - be better – (reasonably correct structures, requiring broadening in the extent of very complex language),
- upper-intermediate level B3 – be even better – (vocabulary and language mainly correct, requiring extension in given theme block and more difficult language structures),
- advanced level C1 - the best – (language is correct, requiring concentration on linguistic nuances),
- advanced level C2 - better than the best – (fluent linguistic familiarity, enabling extension of specialist vocabulary).
